Full Color Sound Records presents Sound Ideas Volume 1

Sound Ideas Volume 1 is a collection of music which was composed and crafted to be evocative and useful. The music is nostalgic, jazzy, funky, moody, and beautiful, but also designed to be remixed, chopped into bits, reorganized, reassembled, and ultimately contribute to your musical creations.

The 7 piece ensemble heard here features the sounds of a Wurlitzer electric piano, drums, flute, muted trumpet, flugelhorn, muted trombone, and an electric bass, played by Full Color Sound Records all stars including Emmet Zelo and Wendy Valley.

Each of the 10 Ideas includes two 8 bar loops (A and B) and 2 endings (A and B). Though the endings roughly correlate to the vibe of the A and B loops, they can be interchanged. In fact, many of the elements can be exchanged between the A and B loops to form variations on the ideas. You are encouraged to experiment by combining elements from the various A and B sections. For instance, you might bring in the flute from loop B over the the rest of the band in loop A. The endings can be used as endings, of course, but can also be explored in other ways (intros, shorter loops, variations).

Each of the 10 ideas is delivered in 5 masters, which include:

 - Full Master

 - No Drums

 - No Flute

 - Wurli Bass Drums Only

 - Flute and Brass Only

These were created to provide you with several options to choose from, though if you want even more control of production you can use the provided mixed multitracks or even the raw multitracks. While the mixed multitracks sound close to the final masters, the raw multitracks offer each instrument before most effects were applied.

All our WAV files are rendered at 24/48, but we’ve also included MP3s of the masters in case you prefer working with smaller file sizes.

Each filename provides information regarding the instrumentation, arrangement section, bpm, and key of the track. For instance, “Idea 3_No Flute_Loop B_94 BPM_Am_FCSR Ideas Vol 1” indicates that this track belongs to Idea 3 loop B, has no flute, was made at 94 BPM in A minor. Some of the tracks modulate keys.

FCSR Sound Ideas Volume 1 is royalty free, providing you, upon purchase, the right to use the recordings provided therein without the need to pay royalties or license fees. You may not resell or repackage these recordings for loop or sample packs. If you use these recordings in music you release, it would be neat, but not mandatory, that you provide a producer credit to Dory Bavarsky.
